Respiration

Okapis respire the same way humans and a majority of mammals do.  Oxygen is taken into the lungs, which then diffuses into the blood.  The carbon dioxide passes through the nose or mouth, just as a human would.

depicts a giraffe's respiratory

system, it is, if not identical,

extremely similar to an okapi's.
